COCKTAIL HOUR MUSIC
Whether you call it cocktail music, piano bar music, or background music, it is all basically the same thing. It is an elegant and classy compliment to your event, whether it's a banquet, reception, or party. Typically played during cocktails and hors d'oevres, cocktail music sets the mood and puts everyone at ease. It is a combination of jazz, pop ballades (top-40 and some country), and broadway show tunes. I'll throw a little classical in there too if you want me to. Some people want a cocktail pianist before the band arrives, and some want the pianist to play for several hours.
FAQ's
1. Can you play for 3 or 4 hours? Yes. My repertoire is very vast. It has never been a problem.
2. Can you take requests? The best thing to do is to let me know your requests in advance, when you book your event. I will do my best to satisfy spontaneous requests from party guests, and if I know the song, I am happy to play it for you.
3. Can you play/sing Happy Birthday? Yes.
4. Can you sing? I have occasionally been known to sing my own original songs in public, but I am not comfortable calling myself a singer. If you would like me to bring along a singer, I can do that.
5. Do you travel? Yes. I am happy to travel to your event location.
6. Will a contract be provided? Yes. I will also ask for a $50 deposit to secure the date.
